All these Thermal Insulations systems can be applied to walls, ceilings and floors for the sound proofing properties also for the thermal insulation.
A flooring grade Thermal Insulation is available for applying under carpets.
A jointing paste is applied to the joints and any shrinkage gaps can be filled / feathered out using normal filler applied and sanded. The following day the walls could be either cross lined with lining paper to receive wallpaper or if required they could be painted.
The adhesive is then applied to the wall and the Insulation is hung like wall paper with the foam side stuck to the wall. Trimming top and bottom. The corners have corner trim applied to form strong corners. A plastic channel is applied if necessary at the skirting prior to applying the insulation, this is fixed with nails or using the no nails type of adhesive.
Mould growth on walls and ceilings was treated first using fungicidal treatments The wallpaper was then removed. All large cracks and holes were filled and all surfaces were prepared for standard redecoration The lengths were cut allowing 25mm overlap at each end and rolled up in cut length, with foam facing out.
